about me

Solid engineering first.
Generative AI on top.

I'm Christian — DevChrisVaz. I've spent 6+ years shipping software that has to hold up: fintech apps for thousands of users, ERP integrations, e-commerce — and now production generative AI. I build things that work, then make them work better. Right now, the most interesting version of that is AI.

01 — how I got here

From websites that load to AI that ships.

The throughline: solid engineering first — AI is what I point it at now.

01
2020 — 2023

Foundations

Landing pages, e-commerce, internal tools. Then ERP integrations on Spring Boot taught me the boring parts — data consistency, clean boundaries — are what keep software alive.

02
2024 — 2025

Scale & stakes

At Macropay I co-led fintech apps used by thousands, where a bug isn't a bug — it's someone's money. Architecture, security, and CI/CD stopped being nice-to-haves. Sports (Stadibox) and blockchain (Avocado) widened the surface.

03
2025 — now

The AI turn

Persea.ai at Avocado, then all-in on GenAI at DaCodes: RAG help desks, AI voice interviews, multi-model orchestration. AI became both what I build and how I build it.

02 — what I care about building

Production AI, not demos.

An idea is the easy part. Making it reliable, observable, and affordable in production is the job.

01

Engineering under the AI

DDD · SOLID · Hexagonal. The model is a new layer, not an excuse to skip the old ones.

02

Build with AI, not just build AI

Spec-driven with OpenSpec, agent-orchestrated from design through deploy.

03

Reliability over slideware

Evals, observability, and cost control. A demo that works once is not a product.

04

Aligned with the business

I ship outcomes, not vanity features — technical decisions tied to what the work is for.

03 — beyond the code

The person behind the commits.

Foundations

Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana — Multiplatform Software Development, then Software Development & Management Engineering.

Off the clock

The build instinct doesn't clock out. On my own time I'm building the tools I wish existed — agents that run themselves, and the open pieces underneath them.

  • BuildingMorgan — a Claude Code–powered control room for my agents: run them from anywhere, automate workflows, and wire in external tools by webhook (a new GitHub issue can trigger its own fix).
  • AutomatingAgentflow — an agentic pipeline that carries an app from business analysis through to deployment, each stage handing off to the next.
  • Open sourceThe MCPs, skills, and tools that give my agents their autonomy — released for anyone to use, because knowledge is meant to be shared.
“Prompting AI to write code is easy. Making that code hold up in production is the engineering.”
